How adorable is this BOY THEMED ICE CREAM PARTY submitted by Sarah Rogers?! I love the blue hutch! And you can’t go wrong with the chevron print right now…such a cute yellow and white chevron table runner!
Sarah set out all the desserts and favors on a large navy blue hutch outside on a porch. She also had a neighboring ice cream sundae table. An adorable wreath was made out of strips of burlap wrapped around a wreath form and a bunting banner {made out of bakers twine and small paper triangle pennants}.
Blue swirl lollipops, large polka dot balloons, ice cream cups, lanterns, paper straws, burlap, bakers twine, sprinkles- all available in Kara’s Party Shop

I think you’re going to love this Nautical Themed Birthday Party submitted by Judith Cardona of Happy Party in Spain!
In Judith’s words- “WELCOME ABOARD! The colors used for this nautical communion party were red, white and blue.
In the entrance, there was a lifeguard that welcomed you on board. This charming place was perfect for the photo booth with guests.
The room was organized in two tables: one for children and one for adults. For the children´s table a colorful and funny decoration; paper boats, real fishes, shells and color pencils + paper + stickers. On the ceiling were red balloons and white garlands like waves. On the communion chair were two red balloons and red ribbons. For the adults table, there was a more sophisticated decoration: soft colors, wooden boats, bottles with SOS message, flags, stones and shells.
The party favors were blue bags filled with candies.”

This amazing GIRLY CIRCUS BIRTHDAY PARTY EXTRAVAGANZA submitted by Donna Baxman of Monkey Moo Moo Parties will blow you away! I am dying at how over-the-top cute this party is!!
Donna said–“My Daughter was turning 4 and I wanted to throw her a circus party that was girlie, beautiful and different. So we called it “Autumn’s Extravaganza” So My business partner Kim and I got busy:):) First thing– We knew we wanted the party under the Big Top. So we got a beautiful tent and got to work:) I had just seen the movie Water for Elephants– and so I was very inspired to find an elephant(clip art) the had the feeling of vintage–not cutesy. Which I then created the invites and had asked my amazing business partner Kim to paint the elephant on an oversized canvas as the focus point for the dessert table. I took some photos of my daughter and used them for the invite and then had a couple enlarged and hung them in spray painted frames. We wanted the painting of the elephant and the 2 pictures to be the main focus of the party. We wanted everything to be a little taller then normal–so Kim made 2 tall cakes and we had very tall candles on one of them and made an elephant and giraffe to top off the other cake. The pixy sticks were extra tall and we had cupcakes, animal crackers, cotton candy, corn dogs, circus pasta, and of course peanuts. The kids all received fun feather mask, huge sunglasses, batons that lite up, batons that had twirl ribbon, hula hoops, and jump ropes (most items were purchase at the dollar store). They played musical chairs and had a parade.”

Sugar and spice and everything nice. This lovely SUGAR AND SPICE 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Melissa Olson of Melissa Olson Photography. I just love the fabric garland and the delicate ribbon cake!
Here is what Melissa had to say about her party- “Being a photographer, I love to throw fun and pretty birthday parties for my kids. This means I get to go crazy and style the party that best represents my child that year and it gives me some eye candy to photograph.
Theme-
This is the first year I’ve gotten to throw a girl party. (Yippie!) For my daughter’s 1st birthday, I wanted to throw a girlie party with vintage and modern inspirations. I started with the poem “Sugar and Spice and everything nice…that’s what little girls are made of!” I thought that fit my daughter perfectly. I made that poem the forefront of her invitation and also incorporated it on her party favors.
Invitation + Favors-
It’s important to me to create a photograph to put on the invitation. The out of state family and friends love seeing how she’s grown and it’s a great memento for me to keep and look back at years from now. Designing the set for her smash cake session was my first stage of planning for this party. It sets the stage and look for her invitation. I want the photo of Kate to give the guests a feel for what type of party it would be. I ordered tons of fabric from Etsy and made the fabric strip garland for her photo session. The fabric strip garland would also be used as the backdrop for her party table. Kate wore a vintage top made by Matilda Jane Clothing Company and a skirt from the Gap. The pieces went well together to create a soft vintage modern photo for her invitation.
Having my own photography business, I also do design work for my clients. It was a easy decision to use design elements I already had to create the invitation. I used a vintage green and pink with lace, a ribbon banner and a girlie font. I had them printed on 100% recycled cardstock to continue the feel and look. I also custom designed the favor bags and those are available on MOphotography. The favor’s had the Sugar and Spice poem displayed on the front and a Thank You note written on the back. I used fabric from the fabric strip garland and sewed a zigzag line across the layers to seal the bag shut.
Food + Decor-
For the party, I wanted to keep cost down while not compromising the theme. I looked around the house for items I could use before I started shopping. One of the biggest pieces I found was the table for all the goodies. It wasn’t just any table, but a vanity my Dad had given me when I was a child. I had painted it black years ago and it ended up going into storage. That piece meant a lot to me as a little girl and it became a fun project refinishing it white not only for the party but also to pass on to my little girl for her room. To finish off the table, I added 4-5 strands of ribbon to place down the center line. This added a splash of color the the white and kept it simple and modern.
To display the food, I had white serving trays, a vase, a vintage frame and berry containers that would add to the table. The rest of the items I went out and bought. My favorite purchase was the ruffled edge cake plate from Pier 1. It complimented the ruffled cake so well. I made both cakes and the cookies to cut down cost. Since I’m not very good at making fondant pieces, I purchased the cupcake toppers and the #1 from Parkers Flour Patch. She did an amazing job!! I purchased the cupcakes from a local store so I could save time and they weren’t very expensive. As for the punch, I knew I wanted to use mason jars to add to the vintage theme. I purchased the lids and straws at The Papered Nest. Along with the candy favor bags, I also made matching ribbon wands for all the little girls. Both were a big hit!
